Matt Freeman, Girl Effect’s Senior Director of Investment, participated on one of two panels hosted by the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media at Mount Saint Mary’s University during UNGA week this September (2016).
The panel titled If She Can See It, She Can Be It™: Media Impact on Women and Girlsincluded actor/producer Alysia Reiner, Writer, and Ambassador,
School of Doodle Amanda Gorman, Executive Vice President of Global Impact and Philanthropy at Sesame Workshop Sherrie Rolins, Worldwide Director at J.Walter Thompson Lucie Greene, and was chaired by CEO of the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media Madeline Di Nonno.
The biannual symposiums on gender in media has reached more than 3,000 leading CEOs and decision makers in the entertainment industry, corporations and non-profit organisations interested in the empowerment of women and girls.
